The board of directors are pleased to be of service to the Manors at
Westridge and will always do their best to guide the community forward.
Below is a little bit about your board.
Board of Directors
Arthur Brown - President
My name is Arthur Brown and I reside at Cuffley in the County of
Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
After working for a London Stockbrokers for 39 years I retired in 1993
and pursued my hobbies of Golf ,Gardening and DIY and running in
marathon events in both London and New York to raise money for
charities.
After spending many holidays in Florida playing golf it seemed sense to
buy my own property to use during my time there and decided to make my
base on the Manors at Westridge in November 1999.
In October 2003 I was invited to join the Board by Roger Moore, the
current President at that time, in view of taking over from him due to
the selling of his property and thereby prohibiting him from being a
member of the Home Owners Association Board.
On taking up office in November 2003 I found that the HOA was close to
bankruptcy and it had just been announced that owners would have to
inject a special fee to support the running of the community.
As you now know we are in a good financial position and going from
strength to strength due to the prudent control of the finances by the
board and the collection of the majority of the delinquent accounts.
My ultimate goal is to make our community the most sort after by both
renters and new owners and also try to find the remedies to keep the
visual look the best in the area.
I have just been reelected to the board for a further year from November
2005.

Don Knowles - Board Director
Don Knowles was elected to the Board of Directors at the AGM in
November 2008. He is a new home owner in Manors South at Westridge.
With over forty years of experience in the Canadian industrial
distribution industry, Don is able to provide the Board with proven
leadership skills, senior executive management experience and
entrepreneurial capacity. His areas of expertise include sales,
marketing, finance, administration, distribution operations, and
communications.
In addition to his BA and Business Certificate, University of Toronto,
Don holds an MBA, York University. As President of IDI Independent
Distributors Inc. he was a participant on the Board of IDI for the
thirteen years prior to his retirement March 1, 2006. He currently
serves on the Board at a Long Term Care Facility and a Children’s
Treatment Centre in Peterborough Ontario where he now resides with his
wife Isobel.
Don looks forward to being involved on the Board of Directors of the
Manors at Westridge and making a contribution to his new community. In
his spare time, he enjoys cottage life with Isobel and together they
spend a good deal of time with their extended family of six children and
ten grandchildren. Don also enjoys boating and travel and particularly
looks forward to future visits to Florida.
Jonathan Cleaver - Board Director
Jonathan has owned on the
Manors at Westridge with his wife since September 2002. Jonathan's wish
is to make the Manors one of the top communities for holiday makers to
come to and yet keep a stable financial ship. He would like to see more
communication between owners to keep the holiday makers coming back to
the Manors.
Mike Tyler - Treasurer
My name is Mike Tyler and I am pleased to say that after living in
Atlanta for four years, my wife Julia and I now live in the vacation
home we bought in 2003 on Westridge, Manors North.
Prior to immigrating in 2005 I owned and operated a substantial
commercial print company in the North East of England and trust that my
business knowledge obtained as Managing Director during that time will
be of benefit to the board and all home owners on the Westridge
development. In addition I have an MBA and a Georgia Real Estate
license, the latter has helped me understand the intricacies and
problems of property ownership in the US as a rental home owner,
property investor and permanent resident.
I look forward to assisting and sharing my experience and becoming an
active “on the ground” resource, helping maintain the quality and
integrity of the community for residents and vacation guests alike.
