The board of directors are pleased to be of service to the Manors at
Westridge and will always do their best to guide the community forward.
Below is a little bit about your board.
Board of Directors
Arthur Brown - President
My name is Arthur Brown and I reside at Cuffley in the County of
Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
After working for a London Stockbrokers for 39 years I retired in 1993
and pursued my hobbies of Golf ,Gardening and DIY and running in
marathon events in both London and New York to raise money for
charities.
After spending many holidays in Florida playing golf it seemed sense to
buy my own property to use during my time there and decided to make my
base on the Manors at Westridge in November 1999.
In October 2003 I was invited to join the Board by Roger Moore, the
current President at that time, in view of taking over from him due to
the selling of his property and thereby prohibiting him from being a
member of the Home Owners Association Board.
On taking up office in November 2003 I found that the HOA was close to
bankruptcy and it had just been announced that owners would have to
inject a special fee to support the running of the community.
As you now know we are in a good financial position and going from
strength to strength due to the prudent control of the finances by the
board and the collection of the majority of the delinquent accounts.
My ultimate goal is to make our community the most sort after by both
renters and new owners and also try to find the remedies to keep the
visual look the best in the area.
I have just been reelected to the board for a further year from November
2005.
Alan Burgess - Board Member
I am Alan Burgess and serve as Treasurer on the Board. I live near
Rochester, Kent UK and worked in Local Government for over 40 years .
Most of my career was spent working for a large London Borough Council.
I was the Council Secretary, responsible for constitutional and legal
matters as well as many day to day services. I served on the Management
Board of the authority for almost 30 years. My personal interests when
time allowed were playing squash, gardening, DIY and foreign holidays.
My family had visited Florida a number of times and stayed in rented
villas. My wife and I decided to buy our own villa to enable us to
escape the worst parts of the British winter climate. In 1999 we chose
to purchase at Manors North and the villa was completed in January 2000.
I was elected to serve as a Director on the Board at the Annual Meeting
held in May 2004 and played a leading role in setting both the budget
for 2005 and 2006 and was pleased that our finances had improved to the
position when we could keep the Annual Assessments at the same level as
they were in 2004. I became Treasurer in early 2005 when the former
Treasurer moved away from Westridge and was re-elected to serve on the
Board for another year in November 2005.
Together with the rest of the Board I am committed to making Westridge
as attractive to renters and purchasers as possible and to improving the
facilities available.
Sallie Geoff - Board Member
My name is Sallie Goff and I became a member of the board in 2006. A
little bit about myself. July 2004, my husband passed away and I always
wanted to move to Florida to live closer to my sister, who lives in
Orlando. After much searching, I found my home in this wonderful, quiet
vacation community. I love my home and spend quality time with my
puppies. I enjoy reading by my pool and riding my motorcycle. I am an
accountant, doing non resident taxes for the owners of vacation homes,
which live outside of the US. My son Ken and his wife Michelle and my
two grandson\'s Kenny and Dylan moved down in December 2006 and live in
close by. My daughter Julie and her son DeAndre and daughter Isabella
plan on moving June 2008 and will be moving in with me.
Life is good!!!

Jonathan has owned on the
Manors at Westridge with his wife since September 2002. Jonathan's wish
is to make the Manors one of the top communities for holiday makers to
come to and yet keep a stable financial ship. He would like to see more
communication between owners to keep the holiday makers coming back to
the Manors.
